Three young musicians from the Prosper/Frisco/Plano area are celebrating a big win after Airbourne Tex won the Junior division of North Texas Got Talent, hosted by North Texas Performing Arts.
Airbourne Tex is a combination of talent from Septien Entertainment Group, Rockstars of Tomorrow, and School of Rock, with roots tracing back to Gruene Hall in New Braunfels.
But their story stretches beyond the stage and has a unique aviation connection. The band's drummer aspires to become a pilot, and the lead singer grew up around airplanes.
Airbourne Tex plays a high-energy mix of classic rock, country, and crowd-friendly favorites. The band can perform as a full band or a stripped-down acoustic set, depending on the venue.
